Welcome to
Inspired by the Sea

Locally made arts, crafts and gifts with a coastal influence.
It’s like a local art trail all under one roof.

After over 7 years, working with over 80 local creatives (paying out around £150,000), donating around £3000 to support local charities and events, and reuniting one soft toy with it's owner we have decided, to close the shop Inspired by the Sea at the end of September 2019.

We will in many ways be sorry to be closing. Through IBTS we have met and got to know many wonderful, talented people, but we have also sacrificed something very special – our time – and we feel now is the right moment to reclaim some of that.

When IBTS opened there was a dearth of places in Worthing supporting local artists. Worthing now has a vibrant mix of places supporting and championing local creatives and their work. We are proud to have been part of 'kickstarting' this development.
Inspired by the Sea is owned and run by John and Belinda Robinson. As well as being an outlet for local arts and crafts Inspired by the Sea is also the workshop where John and Belinda make a large number of the items offered for sale in the shop. We do also have a number of guest exhibitors selling through the shop. This enables us to have a wider variety of items available for sale in the shop and means that, hopefully, every time you visit there is something new or different to see.

Why 'Inspired by the Sea'? Because we are! The ever-changing sights, sounds and smells mean that there is always something new to experience - to be inspired by.
